2006 SILVER ROSE AWARDS
Solidar, one of the leading European social NGOs, is now seeking nominations for its 2006 Silver Rose Awards. The awards were launched six years ago to recognise the contributions made by people and organisations in the fight for social justice.
The awards are presented at the annual dinner in November, hosted by Glenys Kinnock MEP, in the European Parliament. The 2005 award ceremony was attended by over 350 people including MEPs, EU Commissioners, NGOs and the press. Solidar also organises a full programme of visits in Brussels allowing award winners to meet European decision makers, journalists and relevant NGOs.
Awards are presented in two categories one for an organisation or individual working within the 25 EU Member States and one for an organisation or individual working in any country outside the European Union.
If you would like to nominate an individual or organisation for an award, please fill in the nomination form (to be downloaded form the Silver Rose Award section of the Solidar website (www.solidar.org). Nominations must reach Silver Rose by 31 May, 2006.
