COUNCIL OF EUROPE YOUTH DIRECTORATE LANGUAGE COURSES PROGRAM 2003

The Youth Directorate of the Council of Europe has renewed its language course programme for participants of international non-governmental youth organisations.
In 2003 Language Courses will be offered this summer for: French - German - Russian - English Spanish.
Supporters of UNITED can apply for a place at these courses through a nomination of the UNITED network. The complete information (http://www.united.non-profit.nl/docs/language_prog.doc) and nomination form (http://www.united.non-profit.nl/docs/language_form.doc) you can download in Word format.
Your complete forms should be sent by email to UNITED latest 28 March 2003. Please be aware that there are very limited places and a lot of applications!
Participants should be: - aged between 18 and 30, - actively involved in a youth organisation or network, - well informed about their organisation/network, - highly motivated and - willing to work within a group.
An enrolment fee of 100 euros/participant/course will be invoiced by the Council of Europe to the nominating organisation UNITED. Your organisation has to reimburse that amount to UNITED.
Participants have to cover the travel costs by themselves (young disadvantaged people can apply for financial support by the Council of Europe, which will not extent 10 percent of the travel costs). Board, lodging and course are free to participants.
Participants will attend classroom sessions, but will also be encourage to take responsibility for their own learning, through self-study times, projects and contacts with local people. A basic knowledge of the languages is required, unless there are special circumstances.
