SCHOLARSHIP IN GERMANY FOR YOUNG PROFESSIONALS IN CIVIC EDUCATION
We would like to draw your attention to a new exchange programme, which
is announced this year for the first time by the Federal Agency for
Civic Education of Germany and the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
Within the scope of the Civic Education in Action programme, 30
scholarships are awarded to young professionals, working in a civic or
political education in Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, the Czech
Republic and Hungary. The programme addresses to full-time or
self-employed individuals, who want to be involved in networking civic
education in Europe. The participants will spend 8 to 10 weeks as
interns in a German education institute. The interns will work in the
institutes together with their German colleagues, establishing ties for
future cross-border cooperation.
During the internship the young professionals are going to develop a
project about the civic or political situation in their home country.
With the support of their host organisation, they are going to implement
this project within the scope of Civic Education Campaign Days in May 2009.
Applications can be submitted until 30 May 2008 to the Federal Agency
for Civic Education of Germany (bpb). We are also looking for civic
education institutes in Germany willing to take part in the programme as
a host organisation for scholarship holders.
